It looks like Celebration VI’s catalog includes some Ackbar stuff. The store catalogs have been arriving with the badges, and although I won’t be going to C6 and didn’t get a catalog, some folks who did get the catalog have posted its contents.
It looks like there are three Ackbar-related items:
Apparel: Admiral Ackbar 2012 Election T-Shirt ($30)
Giftware & Novelty: Admiral Ackbar 2012 Election Bumper Sticker ($4)
Collectibles: Talking Admiral Ackbar Plush ($30)
In my opinion, $30 for a t-shirt is ridiculous price gouging, and since I’m not particularly interested in T-shirts as far as my collection goes, I think I’ll pass on that one. The plush toy, on the other hand… You know how the saying goes. “Shut up and take my money.”
With the Star Wars official website shop now long closed, it might prove difficult for anyone not attending Celebration VI to get these items (or the many other non-Ackbar items as well, of course). I’m not sure what’s going to happen to any leftover merchandise, as the Star Wars website shop used to handle that stuff. So I’d suggest working something out with someone who is attending Celebration VI, as I plan to do.
